Members of the public are being invited to participate in a ‘Walk of Witness’ through Liverpool City Centre on Holy Saturday, 23rd April.
The route will follow seven Stations of the Cross, starting at the Peace Garden at the Quaker Meeting House and ending at Williamson Square, and will include a Eucharist at St Luke's Church.
At each station, participants will have time to reflect on a different aspect of Holy Week. Other locations will include Bold Street, Lord Street and Victoria Square.
Those taking part are invited to meet at the Quaker Meeting House at 2pm. All are welcome – simply turn up on the day.
The Walk of Witness has been organised by the City Centre Hub (a relational network of churches and ministers serving Liverpool city centre).
Rev Jean Flood, from Mission in the Economy, and who has helped organise the event said: “We would like to invite anyone to come along and become a ‘Holy Walker’ for a few hours.
"The Walk of Witness is a chance for people to take time out at Holy Week and consider the implications of the Easter Story in their own lives, something which is emphasised by the backdrop of Liverpool City Centre.
"It is a chance to take a different look at the city, and ourselves. All are warmly welcome.”
