BBC Children's is searching for new comedy talent to take part in a Laughter Lab workshop in Merseyside.
CBBC is looking for people who can make children aged 6-12 laugh with the confidence to be themselves on camera.
If you think you have what it takes you will need to create a two minute DVD clip of yourself performing to camera.
If shortlisted you will be invited to one of three Laughter Lab workshops taking place in the North West, including one in Merseyside.
You will discover how CBBC presenters got their big break and have a go at TV presenting yourself.
Clips that you send in must be only 2 minutes or less - anything longer will be disqualified.
Workshop experience
The minimum age limit for applicants is 18 plus, and you must have been either born in the North West of England or currently living there.
The North West is defined as the following metropolitan and non-metropolitan counties: Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Halton, Lancashire, Merseyside and Warrington
The deadline for all applications to arrive is 6pm, Friday 25th February 2011.
Please note there is no promise of recruiting a presenter - this is a CBBC workshop experience only.
If you're invited to a workshop you can take part in a comedy master class session with experts from the industry; find out how some CBBC presenters got their "big break"; have a go at presenting and then take home a DVD of you "in action"!
If you'd like to get involved, please email cbbclab@bbc.co.uk for full terms and conditions and an entry form, which you must complete and send in with your DVD, along with a current photo of yourself.
