In an effort to bolster support for the 2010 Santa Dash world record attempt, CALM, the charity who focus on supporting blokes on Merseyside has teamed up with Juice FM to add some musical motivation to all those running with CALM’s take on a mobile rave.

The CALM and Juice FM Trolley Dash will consist of a sound system loaded into a shopping trolley which will be pushed around the Liverpool Santa Dash course, with a unique Santa Dash megamix playing created by Juice FM especially.

There will be a selection of music and motivational anthems entertaining the masses who are expected to run the 2010 Santa Dash on Sunday morning provided by Liverpool’s more music station.

Always on the lookout for innovative and interesting ways to interact with their audience, CALM has commissioned a video Christmas card to raise the awareness of the Santa Dash which will be sent out virally through a social media campaign. Links to the Santa Dash registration site are provided for people to sign up and help bring back the record from Las Vegas to its rightful home in Liverpool.

The video is available from CALM’s Social Network pages as well as the online at www.thecalmzone.net/santadash or see the video Christmas Card here.

Development Coordinator for CALM, Simon Howes, said: “With CALM celebrating its landmark tenth birthday as an active campaign on Merseyside this year, we have pushed the boat out in celebration of this whilst working even harder to raise awareness of wellbeing amongst young men and our vital work.

"The Santa Dash is one of the most entertaining fun runs in the country and one which people from all over the region look forward to taking part in.

"We wanted to take part ourselves and offer something for the crowds to enjoy whilst they rave, rock and body-pop around the course as well as bring the world record home.”

Adam Weighell Breakfast Show presenter from Juice FM said: “CALM is a fantastic charity and one we are delighted to support and work with.

"The Trolley Dash is a brilliant idea and we will be playing some great tunes to keep people up beat as they dash around the course.”
