Liverpool’s Cavern Walks shopping centre will showcase some of the region’s best creative talents this bank holiday weekend after reuniting with two Liverpool entrepreneurs for the Mathew Street Festival.
The boutique shopping centre, is reuniting with successful fashion designers, Jade Thompson from Kirby and Anna Diamond from Widnes to host a Fashion and Craft Fair dedicated to Liverpool’s emerging new creative talent.
The duo were invited to return to the centre following their successful debut at last year’s festival when they organised a successful fashion and craft fair attended by 16 local artists and designers from across Liverpool.
Anna, 26, and Jade, also 26, are now promising an even better line up for this year’s festival with an eclectic mix of Liverpool’s best vintage fashion, unique gifts, paintings, handmade jewellery, along with Jade’s sought-after jewellery range, Vintage Wonderland and Anna’s collection of cult babywear from her online company A Diamond Baby.
Anna, who has a first class degree in Fashion and Textiles from John Moores University commented: “We’re thrilled to be returning to Cavern Walks for this year’s Mathew Street Festival. The fair was very successful with both local visitors and visitors from afar last year so are very excited to showcase the stalls again this year.
“All of the stall holders have been handpicked for their creative talents and to offer a diverse product range to all the Mathew Street visitors. It also offers an excellent opportunity for new design talent to get noticed on one of the busiest weekends in the city.”
Derek Miller, Commercial Director for Warner Estates, which manages Cavern Walks shopping centre, added: “Cavern Walks is not only a unique part of Liverpool’s heritage because of its prime location in Mathew Street, but has been put on the fashion map due to its successful entrepreneurial design talent. It is fantastic for us to be able to provide a platform for new and emerging talent in the city to get their work noticed.”
The Fashion and Craft Fair will take place at Cavern Walks shopping centre on today and tomorrow, 29th and 30th August between 10am and 4.30pm.
