Award winning Italian restaurant Il Forno has launched a new pizza delivery service.

The bustling Duke Street eatery unveils this new venture, at first catering exclusively for apartments in the surrounding area of the city centre, with plans to expand their delivery service soon.

A dedicated team of staff will be delivering a range of authentic and popular pizzas, using fresh ingredients and baked in a genuine Italian oven, Il Forno offers the real taste of Italy.

With cutting edge technology - thermal delivery bags guaranteed to keep your pizza hot for 40 minutes - this service will not disappoint.

Managing director of Il Forno Vince Margiotta proudly announces the launch of the delivery service, the first of its kind from a city centre restaurant.

He said: “Our pizza range, which has been acknowledged by the likes of The Pizza, Pasta & Italian Food Association (PAPA), is extensive and with the addition of the calzone and foccace section, there are 33 different food items on offer.

“We have recruited a pizza delivery co-ordinator who is effectively managing this side of the business separately from the restaurant – in essence he is in sole charge of taking orders, inputting them into the system and co-ordinating delivery with our pizza delivery staff.

“To ensure a top quality end product, we have invested in top of the range heated thermal delivery bags – these are ‘charged’ until hot and will keep any pizza hot for up to 40 minutes.”

Pizza delivery service is currently available Sunday – Thursday from 5.30pm – 10.30pm and prices range from £3.95 to £10.45.

If you wish to tantalise your tastebuds with Il Forno’s pizza, from the comfort of your city centre pad, the Hotline is 0151 709 4033.
