A multi-million pound refurbishment at Genting Club Queen Square has reached completion.
The two storey venue in the heart of the city now encompasses new restaurant and bar facilities, together with significantly extended gaming and poker areas.
The ground floor of the new look venue hosts a contemporary bar and restaurant area, Fahrenheit Bar and Grill, offering an extensive food menu, designed and delivered by Genting’s expert team of chefs. The restaurant area also incorporates a glass fronted ‘theatre kitchen’ to allow diners to watch as their food is prepared.
On the first floor a luxury venue, The 1880 Bar, has been created, named in memory of the year that Liverpool officially became a city. Here, customers can now enjoy classic cocktails, an extensive list of wines and champagnes, as well as beers from a wide range of brewers across Europe, Asia and America. Private VIP booths, plasma screens, a dance floor area and a DJ booth have also been put in place to provide a multifunctional leisure destination in which visitors can watch sporting broadcasts, experience live music and enjoy a variety of late night entertainment.
The redevelopment of the venue’s gaming area has also now been completed. Both the gaming floor and the club’s poker facilities have been significantly extended to include Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, slots, electronic roulette machines and a larger number of poker tables than ever before.
Carole Poulson, general manager of Genting Club Queen Square, said: “The venue has been completely transformed into an all encompassing leisure and entertainment destination. The 1880 Bar will provide visitors with a new modern and contemporary location to enjoy drinks and live entertainment with friends, while Fahrenheit Bar and Grill will provide a first class city centre dining destination, serving creative new dishes throughout the day and into the evening.
“The investment has also enabled us to extend our gaming and poker facilities for our visitors. Not only will this help to attract new customers but it will also help to cement our position as one of the UK’s most popular poker and gaming destinations.”
* On Saturday Aug 4th former Liverpool FC captain Robbie Fowler is set to cut the ribbon at the official opening during a glittering VIP party.
