Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa is playing host to a special charity Gala Dinner event to start off this years’ Wirral Food and Drink festival in style.

The charity event will be held on Friday August 10, in Thornton Hall Hotel’s grand Torintone Suite.

The evening has an array of talented Merseyside chefs who will each prepare a course. The chefs include: David Gillmore – executive chef at Thornton Hall Hotel; gourmet curry chef Nisha Katona; Paul Askew – chef patron of the London Carriage works and award winning North West chef Steven Doherty.

Celebrated Hungarian guitar duo The Katona Twins will provide entertainment for the evening. The Katona Twins have performed at prestigious venues and at major music festivals around the world and they are widely regarded as one of the classical world’s best-known guitar duos.

Thornton Hall Hotel General Manager Geoff Dale said: “We are delighted to be hosting the Gala Dinner in the run up to the Wirral Food and Drink Festival and helping to support local charities like Claire House. We are sure the evening will be entertaining with a great line up of award winning chefs creating their own unique dishes.”

Tickets cost £45, with proceeds going to Claire House Children’s Hospice, The Academy of Culinary Arts and R.A.B.I – Supporting Farming Families.
