The Mersey Mouth - Liverpool's first story-telling night for adults was a great success and now the second event is being organised on 28th June.
To be held at Parr Street it is billed as a great night's entertainment, where you could be traveling on magic carpets or dockers umbrellas.
True stories, nearly true stories and down right lies. Ancient and modern stories and tales of the yet to be are on the agenda.
Storytelling is having a massive resurgence around the world amd The Mersey Mouth aims to combine traditional and modern storytelling, to be a platform for established storytellers from around the world and to encourage and support new talent.
The June event will be hosted by local storytellers Bill Dawson and John Hughes. Sotyteller Tom Croft will again dazzle and "Storyteller Laureate" Taffy Thomas will has promised another tale.
Alison Down should be there too. Tom Goodale may spin another yarn. Also we may be told the hilarious parrot story that we never got round to. Other tellers to be confirmed and may be... discovered.
If you wish to tell a story then let the organisers know on the night.
Occasionally there will be a main storyteller followed by stories from the floor.
Some nights we will have a theme such as Love, Idiocy, Revenge or Lust. Other nights we may have story-slams, competitive storytelling. Once a year we will hold 'The Biggest Liar' competition. Anyone can part of shaping 'The Mouth".
