
In the run up to the festive season, enjoy some top comedy acts at the Capital of Comedy at the Slaughterhouse on Fenwick Street every Friday and Saturday night.
The Slaughterhouse boasts as its compere Neil Fitzmaurice of Phoenix Nights fame with a line-up of some of the best stand-up comedians on the circuit.
Highlights for November include Coronation Street’s latest cast addition and refugee from Phoenix Nights – Mrs Barbara Nice, (aka Janice Connolly), top Liverpool names including Neil Fitzmaurice, (also from Phoenix Nights), Steve Gribbin and Chris Cairns. The amazing Justin Moorhouse, (Yeah, yeah, Phoenix Nights), is also appearing on 13th and 14th November with Keith Carter as Nige and Mick Ferry rounding off the month’s laughter.
Tickets for Liverpool’s Capital of Comedy nights are priced at £10 for a Friday or £12 for a Saturday – doors open at 8pm. Call 0151 728 9898 to book.
If you’re feeling peckish or want to make a night of it, food is available upstairs in the Slaughterhouse or for a more elaborate menu, try MEET, the Argentinian restaurant round the corner on Brunswick Street.
The basement at The Slaughterhouse, with seating in church pew style, along with standing room making that makes it a relaxed, unique environment compared to other comedy nights on offer in the city.
