Well into its second month of trading, Salt Dog Slim’s is already making its mark on Liverpool’s bar scene.
Open until late seven days a week, this new addition has found a firm and eclectic fan base.
Salt Dog Slim’s showcases the raw energy of an old American dive bar and has a beer selection to rival any European watering hole, against the backdrop of three storey Georgian splendour.
To compliment the experience, patrons can try any of the Twenty-five bottled beers from around the world as well as bespoke chilli dogs and top class cocktails, in a variety of vessels!
Since opening its doors in early May, Salt Dog’s has fast become renowned for its gargantuan steins, and delectable ‘brine’ menu. Home made, slow cooked chilli beef adorns the top of each dog, with a plethora of additional delights.
Many have attempted the notorious ‘Atomic Dog’ but few have managed to conquer its red hot inferno!
The 'Dog of the Month' is also becoming a real talking point amongst guests and social media followers, with weird and wonderful suggestions welcomed!
The first ‘Salt Sog’s Steins ‘n’ Brines Challenge’ saw the great and good of the city gather for a unique spectacle.
Eight brave patriots, signed up to take on the challenge of devouring five hot dogs and one stein in the quickest time, whilst Chanting crowds cheered on the epic mustard slinging battle, set to a soundtrack of dirty rock and roll.
With the winner walking away with a cash prize, ‘Salt Dog Millionaire’ T-shirt and their name on the hall of fame, places for July’s challenge are already being snapped up by wannabe winners.
July also sees the creation of the no holds barred cocktail menu, with unusual flavours including popcorn infused whiskey.
