Liverpool's Malmaison hotel re-launched with a lavish £250,000 bash this weekend.
An array of Soap stars, WAGs and local glitterati attended to toast the prestigious waterfront hotel's re-birth.
In 2010 compulsory work began to replace the entire facade of the £21m hotel due to corrosion of defective cladding, at a cost of around #2.5m.
The Mal's return was celebrated with 500 bottles of Veuve Clicquot champagne, an endless stream of wine and special cocktails created by the hotel’s mixologists; Toffeeshoptini and Livertini.
400 VIP guests were well-fed by a vast selection of seafood including oysters and giant mussels, freshy carved meat and a huge buffet including every type of cheese imaginable.
Corrie stars Andrew Lancel, Tina O'Brien, Michelle Keegan and Vicky Entwistle were joined by Hollyoaks girls Rachel Shelton, Jennifer Metcalfe, Gemma Merna, Stephanie Waring and Jorgie Porter.
X Factor hopeful Carolynne Poole, Scouse girl group Estrella and Juice FM’s Anton Powers provided entertainment as guests partied into the small hours as the 'third Liverbird' spread her freshly-clad wings.
Hotel General Manager Helen Caters said: "Malmaison parties are notorious and we wanted to be sure to give Liverpool a big treat to celebrate our hot new look."
