A new craze is blowing into Liverpool as it opens its first dedicated electronic shisha bar allowing guests to smoke legally indoors.
The Halooka Lounge will invite Liverpool’s cosmopolitan party-goers to experience the delights of the halooka, a healthier redefinition of the shisha pipe, which originated in the Middle East more than 500 years ago.
The new venue will be situated in the downstairs basement of popular restaurant and bar, The Noble House, on Brunswick Street.
The shisha is used for smoking flavoured tobaccos and works by cooling and filtering smoke through a water pipe.
In comparison, the halooka uses an electronic atomisation process mechanism which produces a water based vapour, instead of smoke, making it legal to consume indoors.
The water vapour disperses in seconds and when inhaled through the lungs helps to cleanse the respiratory pipe.
With a vast range of fruity tobaccos available, including apple, strawberry, grape, mint and chocmint, as well as nicotine free flavours, the halooka is a healthier alternative to smoking.
The halooka has been introduced in a number of VIP clubs in London, such as the glamorous Mayfair Hotel, and has attracted a high profile fan base including Liverpool actress Jennifer Ellison.
Rob Preston co-owner of The Noble House, said: “In a short space of time, the halooka has created a real buzz in London and we wanted to recreate this experience in Liverpool and lead the way at The Noble House.
“The shisha pipe is famous for its social qualities, bringing people together and helping them to relax and the Halooka Lounge will re-define this by creating a safer environment for our customers to enjoy the shisha and get a real taste of the Middle East.”
The Halooka Lounge blows into Liverpool on 2nd June 2011. More information can be found at www.thenoblehouse.co.uk
