Wizz Air announces new route from Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Low-cost airline Wizz Air have announced plans to fly from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to the Romanian city of Craiova from the end of March.

This is the airline’s second new route to be announced this Autumn following the news that they will commence flights from the Speke terminal to Lublin in Poland next May.

Craiova will become Wizz Air’s seventh confirmed route from Liverpool, medicine with flights to Warsaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Riga and Budapest already in operation.

The three times weekly service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays commencing on March 27, 2017 and will be the only service outside of London to Craiova.

Craiova is an ideal short break destination with a strong focus on culture, filled with art, history and museums.

Mark Povall, LJLA’s Director of Air Service Development said: “We are delighted that Wizz Air will announce a new three times weekly connection to Craoiva.

“This is the seventh route that Wizz Air will operate from Liverpool during Summer 2017 and we look forward to making this route a success.”
