A fabulous night in Liverpool at Radio City Live

It was hard to believe that it was a cold December night as the crowds headed towards the Echo Area with thousands of teenage girls looking stunning in their short dresses, bare legs and huge heels on their shoes.

The vibe among the crowd congregating in the public areas told us that we were in for a truly memorable evening with "Radio City Live".

From five to seventy-five it didn't matter! We were all there to enjoy another star-studded night... and what fabulous night it was too!

In conjunction with Liverpool Community College and Radio City 96.7, the arena was a sell-out, and the 10,000 strong audience gave a warm Liverpool welcome to the first act of the evening.

Britain's Got Talent finalist and Liverpool-born, MD Productions took to the stage in a very energetic performance. With their fancy footwork and perfect choreography they grabbed the crowd and you didn't know which way to look as they filled the stage with their stunning dance routines.

Breakfast show host Simon Ross introduced the first act to the stage, and after a slight glitch with the sound system a rather sexy -looking Jason Derulo appeared on stage to a roar of screams and cheers.

Blasting out his well-known hits such as In My Head, It Girl and Fight For You, the packed arena audience was on its feet as Jason finished with his famous, Don't Wanna Go Home.

The crowd were also treated to a special guest appearance as Tinchy Stryder strode onto the stage with British singer-song-writer Dappy performing hits such as Spaceship, One and Dappy's most famous number No Regrets.

It was certainly a very special event as artist after artist took to the stage.

Pixie Lott was next with hits including, Mama Do, Cry Me Out and All About Tonight.

Just before the 15-minute interval, DJ Rossie came on to the stage to inform the crowd that due to unforeseen circumstances, Jessie J would not be appearing. You could tell from all the boos that the crowd were disappointed but their mood soon changed when, starting-off the second half was 2010 X Factor winner Matt Cardle.

Singing a new single from his album Letters, Matt entertained the fans with his Stars and Lovers, Run For Your Life and Starlight.

As the big screens at the side of the stage were introducing the next artist, the crowd were all on their feet shouting and screaming louder than I have ever heard before as 20-year-old Ed Sherran appeared on stage.

Declaring the last time he played in Liverpool was to a crowd of 170, Ed thanked the 10,000 throng for all their support and sang Lego House, after snapping the strings on his guitar, Ed introduced his new guitar Nigel to his adoring supporters before bursting out his final number, A Team.

Black British Rapper, Wretch 32 was up next, followed by one of my favourite The Wanted.

With the atmosphere reaching boiling point, the Arena was bouncing as Tom, Max, Siva, Jay and Nathan belted-out hits from their new album such as All Time Low, Lightening, and Glad you Came.

The final act to appear on the Liverpool stage was JLS, frequent visitors to our Liverpool, the band told the hystrical crowd that they love our city, with it's sexy ladies and sexy accent.

Thumping -out their hits: Everybody In Love, Eyes Wide Shut, Take a Chance On Me and their new single Do You Feel What I Feel, Aston, JB, Oritse and Marvin, they stole the show with fans young and old on their feet, dancing and screaming .

When asking the crowd "What do JLS make you wanna do to you Liverpoooool?" the fan screamed back:" You make me wanna Oh oh oh oh oh oh!!" On that note the young heart-throbs belted-out their finale You Make Me Wanna.

With streamers and glitter falling from above the ten thousand music lovers in the audience sang along word for word.

This is the third time Radio City have produced such a wonderful event and each year it gets better and better. I for one cannot wait for the next one. An amazing night and I would certainly reccommend anybody who is a fan of pop music to book tickets right away as it will definitely be another sell-out.
