The office Christmas party has become a tired affair.So how can a company be 'bowled' over by something a bit different?
Click Liverpool and Purple Revolver staff chose ten-pin bowling instead of a night on the town or a restaurant meal.
And for an end of year party with lots of extras to keep staff happy, Hollywood Bowl were up to the challenge.
With a tag line: "Fancy Beating Your Boss This Christmas?" staff and journalists were eager to take up the challenge at the leisure complex on Edge Lane Retail Park.
Hollywood Bowl team members scored a strike with their service and catered for our 10-strong party's every need.
The festive package includes: two games of bowling, a delicious festive buffet, a bucket of WKD on every lane, prizes and awards.
The overall winner will also be presented with a trophy. The cost is £19.95 per person and any special requirements can be made in advance to Hollywood Bowl team members.
Freelancer Chris Bradley won the first round of 'Team Scoop' bowling, proving he is just as tenacious on the lanes as he is on the streets.
But he dropped to second place when reporter and photographer Adam Falkner hit the high score for the team's evening with 143.
On 'Team Snapper' Purple Revolver's Amber Tan rolled strike after strike to earn a very respectable 155 while the rest of the team lagged behind.
The pins were certainly getting hit hard with the strong arms of the press pack and after a few beverages and lovely food, which came quickly as we played, it was Hollywood Bowl who were crowned champions.

Practice techniques before the event are also available for bowlers who want more strikes than spares.
