Liverpool's Laughterhouse has announced that it will now host its weekend comedy nights at bigger venue Lenny’s Smoke and Grill Bar in Sir Thomas Street, while other Laughterhouse venue the Slaughterhouse remains open for business as usual every weekend.

The Laughterhouse at Lenny’s bar stand-up comedy nights will be held in the recently refurbished basement in what is currently Liverpool's only purpose built comedy club.

Three of the finest comperes around, Neil Fitzmaurice, Chris Cairns and Ste Porter will regularly be delivering the show.

And Click Liverpool are delighted to be able to giveaway 3 pairs of tickets to our readers for this Friday's opening show. Just answer this question - Which sitcom did Neil Fitzmaurice co-write with Peter Kay and Dave Spikey?
Email your answer to newsdesk@clickliverpool.com along with your full name, age and phone number by 9am Friday 23rd April.

Laughterhouse owner and comedy entrepreneur Paula Harrington said: “We are delighted to host our night at Lenny’s Bar, it is a great venue with a great atmosphere and it’s perfect to host comedy stand-ups. Plus, with extra seats we will have space for everyone!

"All our shows at the Slug and Lettuce have been absolutely brilliant and surely they will continue to be at Lenny’s. It is also in the heart of city centre so it’s perfect for those who want to hit the town straight after the show!"

The opening Laughterhouse at Lenny’s Bar show will debut Friday the 23rd on a very high note, with a comedy/musical night that promises to be an absolute treat! Chris Cairns will share the stage with fellow Scouser Steve Gribbin’s well renewed scabrous and vitriolic songs, Phoenix’s Night veteran, musician and juggler Steve Royle, and Mundo Jazz trio, with their chaotic, improvised tunes.

Paula added: “Musical nights always go down a treat with the public, and since it will be the first night at Lenny’s, we though it’d be a great idea to make it a special event and put together the acts that can mix comedy and music theme better than anyone!

"This is really an unmissable night.”

Ticket price for Lenny’s Bar and Slaughterhouse are a bargain at £11 on Fridays and £14 on Saturdays. Before the shows customers can also enjoy a fabulous one or two-course meal at Lenny’s. Comedy Meal Deals are also available and can be pre-booked.

Doors open at 7.15 and show starts prompt at 8.00pm. Please visit www.laughterhousecomedy.com or call 0151 227 5946 to book tickets.
