Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery will host the first leg of a provocative Toulouse-Lautrec print tour.
The exhibition - 'High Kicks and Low Life' - features 50 prints of the French artist's graphic work including intimate scenes.
Other work from Toulouse-Lautrec, all from the British Museum's holdings, depicts seedier parts of Paris such as its brothels and prostitutes.
He was known to frequent the city's gritty underbelly and often visited the world-famous Moulin Rouge.
The gallery said: "This artist has left behind a body of work full of insight, wit and above all astonishing technical and artistic virtuosity."
Support for the tour, which opens at the Walker Art Gallery on 14 May and runs until August, comes from the Dorset Foundation.
