More top bands and artists announced for Liverpool Sound City

The UK’s coolest and fastest-growing music festival, Liverpool Sound City, has announced more additions to its festival line-up.

Continuing its partnership with Eat Your Own Ears, Cardiff-based seven-piece Los Campesinos and London trio Is Tropical, will join The Maccabees in playing two special shows at the o2 Academy on May 22nd.

This includes an all-ages matinee in partnership with Underage Festival.

This is the first time Underage have ever ventured-out of London and is a bold statement of unity from two of the most cutting edge events in the UK.

Also joining the Sound City bill is Field Music and Ed Sheeran at the Masque on 20th May.

Led by brothers Peter and David Brewis, Sunderland's Field Music released their third critically acclaimed album 'Field Music (Measure)' in February 2010.

Acclaimed Brighton-based rock band British Sea Power, fresh from headlining the Shockwaves NME award, play the Masque Theatre on 19th May.

Also playing is Archie Bronson Outfit, Oh No Ono (Denmark), White Hinterland (USA), Django Django play at The Kazimier on May 19th. And finally Crystal Fighters (Spain), LoneLady (Warp), TeenagersInTokyo (Australia) play at Korova on 22nd May.

Liverpool Sound City's impressive line-up is really shaping up with Paloma Faith, Delphic, The Maccabees, The Fall, Speech Debelle, The Blackout, Wave Machines, The Sunshine Underground, Hot Club de Paris, Ian McNabb and Chilly Gonzalez to name but a few confirmed for the festival.

Sound City Wristbands -for entry to ALL shows- are available now from www.liverpoolsoundcity.co.uk for £45.

A whole list of exclusives are available to Wristband holders including Wristband Only Gigs, Goody Bags, Text Alerts, Aftershow Party Invites, Competitions and ‘Money Can’t Buy’ prizes.
