LEAP 2010: Year of Dance - is under way marking the celebration of 18 years of LEAP dance festivals in the city.
A top class programme of over 20 dance events will cluster around the usual annual festival dates.
There is a raft of local talent. New Moves Liverpool came to the Unity Theatre on Weds 3rd March.
New Moves North West is at the Bluecoat on Weds 24th Mar and The Community Showcase at Liverpool Playhouse on Sat 6th March.
The latter includes a specially-commissioned LEAP piece by celebrated choreographer Lea Anderson as well as showing the winning entry of the ‘You Dance, YouTube, You Perform’ competition.
LEAP 2010 also welcomes renowned professional companies including Stan Won’t Dance, National Dance Company Wales and The Vienna Festival Ballet to the region over the course of this festival month.
LEAP 2010 Community Dance Showcase features a wide range of dance styles & performances from local community groups.
