Southport Palette Club's 85th exhibition is to have a temporary new home in the Ballroom at Bootle Town Hall from Wednesday 3rd March, while the Atkinson Art Gallery is closed for re-development.

Entracne to the exhibition is free and it runs until Tuesday 23rd March from Monday to Friday with a special free preview on the opening day between 10 am and 12 noon.

Nicola Jones, Museums and Galleries Officer said: "It may be in a new home temporarily, but it is still the fantastic showcase of local artists that it always has been and a great opportunity to purchase high quality art from local artists at affordable prices".

The huge refurbishment project is re-developing Southport Arts Centre, Atkinson Art Gallery and Southport Library into a regional state of the art Cultural Centre, set to re-open in 2013.

Full details about the types of works accepted For anyone wishing to submit works of art for the exhibition, can be found on the Sefton Arts Website and the entry forms, which are also currently available from the Tourist Information Centre on Lord Street and the Botanic Gardens Museum in Churchtown.
