Talented dancers are set to perform in Liverpool as part of a new showcase.

Unity Theatre, Hope Place, will host the first night of the National Dance Network's (NDN's) Dance 3 tour, on March 2.

Dance 3 is part of the LEAP 2010 event, a 18-year-old festival curated by Merseyside Dance Promoters Network.

Emerging choreographers will present their work in bite-sized shows during the 29-date tour. They have been hand-picked by leading promoters and programmers at the NDN.

Claire Cunningham and Jose Agudo, Tom Dale and Douglas Thorpe are the talents involved.

Themes on the bill include isolation, confined spaces and schizophrenia.

Wayne McGregor, Royal Ballet resident choreographer, said: "Small-scale venues and their committed audiences have always played a critical role in the development and nurturing of aspiring dance talent."
