Exciting programming in the new year allows us to present a fine host of critically acclaimed stars including Australian acoustic guitarist and two-time Grammy nominee Tommy Emmanuel, one of Britain's best female artists and three times Grammy-nominated blues legend Joan Armatrading, The 'Dream Team' of trad jazz; Kenny Ball, Chris Barber and Acker Bilk making up the Three B’s, as well as founder of The Specials and the 2 Tone Record label, Jerry Dammers, who performs with his 18-piece orchestra in a show of high fusion, costumes, theatrics and visuals mix.
Michael Eakin, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic's Chief Executive said: "Our programme for the new year is fantastic.
"The range of events and the quality of artists we have put together is exceptional. It demonstrates our commitment to live music in the city.
"As winner of The Mersey Partnership's Tourism Award for 'Best Venue of 2009', we’re determined to bring the best music to Liverpool and offer our visitors an unrivalled experience."
