
A film about the life of John Lennon will have a charity Premiere in Liverpool.
Nowhere Boy will go on general release on Boxing Day but it's northern premiere comes at the Odeon Liverpool One comes on Monday 23rd November.
Proceeds will got to the city's Alder Hey Children's Hospital Imagine Appeal.
Those making an appearance on the red carpet include actor David Morrissey, who plays Lennon's step-father Bobby Dykins. Liverpool-born Morrissey is a patron of the children's charity.
Also making an appearance are Aaron Johnson, who plays the role of Lennon, and the film's director Sam Taylor-Wood.
Fashion designer Kirsty Doyle, who is a fellow patron of the charity, will be at the premiere. She will be joined by several members of the cast of Channel 4 soap 'Hollyoaks' and former Brookside actress Suzanne Collins.
Many of the location scenes in Nowhere Boy were filmed in Liverpool earlier this year.
Alder Hey Imagine Appeal was launched in 2005 with the help of Yoko Ono to support Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, the busiest children’s hospital in Europe.
The hospital treats around 250,000 patients per year and the Appeal aims to raise around £3 million every year to improve the quality of life for children in hospital by enhancing the environment to providing facilities for patients and their families.
In addition, Imagine funds the most advanced medical equipment and research into those conditions our children suffer from today, in the hope that they won't in the future.
