Liverpool's International Slavery Museum will stage a 'Stop The Traffik' event that organisers hope will increase awareness of modern day human trafficking.
During the event on Friday evening there will be a play performed which is designed to make spectators aware of the realities for workers in the developing world.
'Stop The Traffik' have been involved in a number of high profile campaigns. During the last year, their Chocolate campaign led to major international chocolate companies like Mars and Cadbury changing their practices on the supply of cocoa and pledging to be "free from trafficked and exploited labour."
Friday's event is just one of many to celebrate "National Interfaith Week". It is hoped the series of events will raise awareness of the diversity of faiths and the positive effects they have on the Liverpool City Region.
The week is being put together by the Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services, the Liverpool Faith Network and other commumity organisations.
Among the highlights are a Hindu Cooking Workshop that will look at "tasty ways" to use left over food.
