Red Dwarf fans were kicking themselves that they hadn't accepted that cryptic invitation to the 'Tefal kettle head' demo at John Lewis in Kingston, London, when the store was used as a set for the much-anticipated Back To Earth episodes.
Sci-fi stars Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules and Robert Llewellyn were filming - with the cast looking bewildered on the escaltors, as the department store doubled up as the fictional 'Price Smashers.'
The filming was done while the store was shut but some customers got a sneaky peak of the action as extra filming was done in the restaurant, but there were no further clues to the plot.
More than a dozen members of John Lewis staff featured as extras, witnessing the Dwarfers sliding along the floor at high speed, smashing up signs and crashing into tables.
John Lewis is understood to have been chosen after the location manager was shopping in the store and liked the high ceilings and open layout.
As the home of Dave Lister and Click being Liverpool's official Red Dwarf media outlet, here are the latest cast photos released by Digital TV channel Dave, which will broadcast the new shows over Easter.
Don't forget to grab a ticket for a free curry at the 'Welcome Home Dave' party, with all the hardcore fans piling in to Red Dwarf's birthplace The Aigburth Arms pub on April 11.
