Film buffs and armies of Tarantino geeks are marching in their thousands on to YouTube for a first look at Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Nazi killing romp Inglorious Basterds.
Basterds follows Brad Pitt as Lt Aldo Raine and Quentin's director pal Eli Roth (Hostel) as the leaders of a blood-crazed group of elite Jewish troops sent behind enemy lines... 'Once upon a time in Nazi-occupied France' to get the scalps of 800 Germans.
The trailer boasts, 'you have not witnessed war... until you have seen it through the eyes of Quentin Tarantino.'
More than a decade in the making, Quentin first told his fans about his idea for his Nazi war epic after he made Jackie Brown and it he hinted that he was going to film it after Kill Bill.
But then relented and said he wanted to spend more time developing the script and followed up with his slasher car homage flick Death Proof
One question that leaps out from the trailer is... where is Mike Myers? The Austin Powers star was signed up to play a rogue English General in the movie, which he is rumoured to be taking to Cannes and is then released on August, 21.
Fans are also wondering if Quentin will make a return to FACT and Liverpool as part of his European press junket, where he gave Death Proof its UK premiere and later judged a tribute Jack Rabbit Slimms twist contest at his Purple Revolver after-party.
