Comedian Barry Humphries is set to revive two of his most famous characters during a first nationwide tour for 28-years.
The creations of Australian icons Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson will be showcased around the UK, visiting Liverpool's Echo Arena in October this year.
Dubbed TV's most "loved housewife", Dame Edna became a national icon in the 70's, capturing the hearts of the public with famous catchphrases such as "Hello Possums" and "Call Me Old Fashioned".
And sharing the bill, "Cultural Supremo" Sir Les Patterson will make an appearance, playing out his fictional roles, including his hilarious Chairman of the Australian Cheese Board.
Fans will also be treated with performances from the Liverpool Philharmonic throughout the highly-anticipated show.
Speaking about the event, promoter Harvey Goldsmith said of the event: "This monumentous piece was first performed immediately after the Proms in 1981.
"It was during recent conversations with Barry Humphries that the suggestion came to revive this fantastic show.
"I am delighted that Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson agreed to perform in their first tour of the UK."
Tickets go on sale on Friday 23 January at 10 am and can be purchased from the ECHO Arena Box Office on 0844 8000 400.
