Jennifer Ellison, Cathy Tyson and Sue Jenkins are starring in Britain’s funniest and sexiest show - The Vagina Monologues, which will soon be setting tongues wagging in Liverpool.

Now in its tenth acclaimed year of performances throughout the UK, more than two million people have seen the show, over 25,000 fake orgasms have been witnessed, and audiences are still clamouring for more.

The ultimate girls night out has proved compulsive viewing for men too, as The Sunday Times said 'See it, even if you haven’t got one'.

As part of a new spring tour, the show is coming to Liverpool Empire Theatre on 16-18 March.

Model, actress and singer Jennifer Ellison returns to the Empire fresh from wowing audiences at the theatre over Christmas in Britain's No.1 panto, Cinderella.

Actress Cathy Tyson (Mona Lisa, Royal Shakespeare Company, The Nativity) and TV veteran Sue Jenkins (Brookside, Coronation Street) will join Jennifer for this frank, funny show with a definite scouse twist.

Sex has never been funnier or more poignant than in this collection of highly original stories gathered by the show's dynamic creator, New Yorker, Eve Ensler.

Ensler asked over 200 women of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and walks of life to share their most intimate secrets in 'vagina interviews' on such normally taboo topics as birth, sex, orgasms and relationships with truly revelatory results. These remarkable monologues are performed by three acclaimed actresses who appear on stage together throughout the evening.
