
Laughterhouse Comedy continues to offer the most raucously uproarious entertainment in Liverpool with the launch of brand new variety nights coming to the CUC this festive season.
Throughout December a Laughterhouse MC will present the best, brightest and most bizarre from the variety circuit for a number of exclusive shows to delight and dazzle audiences.
Each of the eclectic shows will include some of the finest singers and bands, tribute performers, magicians and speciality acts, with a Laughterhouse MC host to keep the revelry riotous.
Kicking off proceedings for the premier evening of the Christmas shows on December 1st veteran Laughterhouse host and former Liverpool Comedian of the year, Chris Cairns as the Master of Ceremonies.
With bags of charm and natural enthusiasm, his spontaneity and improvisational skills have created a demand for him not only as a host but as a strong and vastly experienced headline act.
Chris will be introducing the stellar line-ups for the variety evenings throughout December.
The festivities will begin on December 1st with well-loved Liverpool band, The Band With No Name whose reputation has them selling out venues simply by the mention of their name – or lack of.
The four piece cover band plays an eclectic mix of hits from the 50s to the present day.
Also on the bill for the opening evening of the Christmas season’s shows is magician, John Harding who has astounded royalty, inspired and starred in his own ITV1 magic series as well as sharing stand-up comedy bills with the likes of Tom O’Connor and Russell Brand.
The unique and multi-talented Phil Nichol will also be performing on the evening, whose unparalleled skill as an improviser has gained him many accolades.
This much-admired actor, award-winning comedian, producer, presenter, writer and musician is an energetic and exciting performer.
If that wasn’t enough one of the most popular singer/entertainers in the UK, James Franklyn will also be welcomed on stage to delight audiences with his mix of Soul and Motown.
Making appearances throughout December at the CUC are a variety of well-known and celebrated acts including comedians Hal Cruttenden, one of the UK’s finest comedic talents and Neil Fitzmaurice who has starred in three of the most successful British comedy series’ of the last decade; Phoenix Nights, The Office and Peepshow.
Also being welcomed to the stage is innovative and creative magician, Michael Diamond who specialises in the preservation of unusual forms of entertainment and has an impressive record in making even Santa Clause disappear!
Also performing this December will be The Beat Beatles, a tribute band who have been together since high school and have since won a number of talent shows, played at all Liverpool’s major venues and their talent has even led to appearances on national TV.
So this festive season forget about the hustle and bustle of town and come down to the CUC for a complete night of Laughterhouse entertainment, shows, pubs, restaurants and clubs all under one roof!
