The scariest bands in town are lining up for a spectacular night of live Halloween music at one of Liverpool’s coolest venues.
Leaf on Bold Street is hosting the horror-themed event on Saturday October 29, featuring an exciting bill of spine-tinglingly good song-writing and pulse-raising performances.
I Am Austin is a two-piece dance-rock duo from North Wales. They played at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and also won the prestigious Fiat Evo Music Rooms competition.
They beat 3,000 other bands to claim their prize of a live appearance on Channel 4's Evo Music Rooms show, hosted by Edith Bowman.
The Lucid Dream have been compared to The Jesus and Mary Chain, Suicide, and The Byrds.
Lauren Laverne described their music as ‘beautiful, traditional psychedelia’ and Steve Lamacq praised their ‘reverb drenched majesty’.
Popular local act The Wild Eyes have been thrilling crowds in Liverpool and beyond for some time now. They are described as a a psych garage dream drone pop done by the power of three.
Event organiser and appearing on the night is Dom Newton who has become a local cult figure with his unique blend of musicianship, powerful vocals and adrenaline-packed live shows.
Dom will be showcasing his latest blend of what he calls ‘undead horror blues'.
In the spirit of all things ghastly, everyone is invited to wear fancy dress – with prizes and party games to help the night go with a swing.
Entry is £3 on the door, 8pm to 2am. More info from: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dom-Newton/184097608284458
