Singer-songwriter Jack Roberts is planning on having a "Heart Attack" at a free gig at Heebie Jeebies.
The Liverpool-born musician is bringing his latest single's tour party to a close but is promising to warm up the crowd ahead of his new album's winter release.
Jack will perform alongside other Tip Top Recording stars Royal Treatment Plan and Blue on Blue tonight (Fri).
His songs and gruff musical style have drawn comparisons to the painfully legendary artists Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen.
His new single 'Heart Attack' is a jaunty anthem from the maverick musician and the lead-single taken from his anticipated second studio album ‘The Romance, The Row, The Wreck’ due out later this year.
He said: "I'm really looking forward to the launch and to promoting the single and album.
"It's been a long process but the fact that I've been completely in control of recording and also produced the album myself has made this a rewarding situation.
"With close band mates & very talented musicians in the form of Hayden John on Violin and Daniel Murphy on Piano I believe we've created something special.
"I've emerged with the album just as I'd envisaged and without having to compromise.''
Jack signed to Sony to produce his acclaimed debut album ‘Longer On A Message’ in 1994, featuring singles 'Radio', 'Taxi' and 'Any Day Now'.
Those songs proved hits with other rock bands and artists and led to tour support slots with the likes of Crash Test Dummies, Robyn Hitchcock, Jah Wobble, Tragically Hip, Jeff Healey.
"The Glastonbury acoustic tent was a great gig," said Jack.
"The audience response was brilliant. My one regret was having to get straight off afterwards as I was in the middle of recordings, so missed the overall glasto experience".
