Perrier award winner Rich Hall is on the road and heading for Crosby Civic Hall this October.

Famous for his dead pan, grouchy comic genius he has been charming sell-out audiences each year at the Edinburgh Festival, on tours throughout the UK, and at London's famous Comedy Store.

The gig, organised by Sefton Arts but part of the Southport Comedy Week, takes place on Thursday 28th October at 8pm.

Looking like a Pearl Jam roadie, Rich is a master of absurdist irony - he particularly likes to lay into Americans and life across the Pond at every opportunity.

As Rich Hall the stand-up, he has visited the Edinburgh Fringe Festival several times and performed at the major comedy clubs in Britain and across the world.

He is well known in the United States for appearing and writing on The David Letterman Show - for which he won an Emmy Award.

Rich Hall's TV work includes; Rich Hall's Cattle Drive (BBC4), Rich Hall's Fishing Show (BBC4) plus numerous appearances on BBC2 panel show QI, hosted by Stephen Fry.

Rich Hall will be signing copies of his books Otis Lee Crenshaw: I Blame Society and Things Snowball.

Tickets for the gig are £15 and available online at www.seftonarts.co.uk, or by calling 01704 540011 / 0151 928 1919.
