Lighting up the Laughterhouse this Friday and Saturday will be Canadian comic Phil Nichol fresh (perhaps a little exhausted) from a successful month long stint at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Nichol has gained wide critical and public acclaim for his latest show “Welcome to Crazytown”, a mixture of comedy, beat poetry and jazz, recreating the infamous performance of singer and beat poet Bobby Spade at Baltimore jazz club Bertha’s in 1974.
Joining Phil on stage will be New Zealand’s punk comedy gem and multi-award winner Sully O’Sullivan. Sully entered the UK comedy scene only a couple of years ago but has already become a highly sought after act in all of the best comedy venues and festivals in the UK.
Liverpool’s legendary character comedian Keith Carter, aka “Nige”, Mundo Jazz with his killer music inventions will join resident MCs Peep Show’s Neil Fitzmaurice and Chris Cairns.
Tickets cost between £7.00- £27.00 of Friday and between £15.00- £30.00 on Saturday. Book yours in advance via the brand new website www.laughterhousecomedy.com, where you can also find clips of acts, biogs and all upcoming events.
All shows start prompt at 8.00pm. Arrive late and run the risk of being picked on... MCs show no mercy!
