A language school offered a "taster session" with a difference at the Wirral Food and Drink Festival.
Courses are being offered in the 2010/11 school year in French, Italian, German and Spanish - known as "FIGS".
And to highlight the service at the Food Festival the Liverpool Language School decided to offer visitors succulent Figs as fun "taste" of what is on offer.
With maximum class size of 18 students along with experienced and qualified teachers the courses are aimed at adult learners from beginners to those who want to develop their language skills further.
Each course will offer opportunities to improve grammar and practise listening, speaking, reading and writing with the aim of developing fluency and accuracy.
Said Brenda: "More people than ever are organising their own holidays thanks to budget flights and the reach of the internet.
"Travellers find they get far more enjoyment when the can understand and speak the language of the country they are visiting.
"We had a very enjoyable time at the Wirral Food and Drink Festival. The figs were a great way of interesting people in the idea of selecting a language they want to learn or develop further."

FEES
£100 for the Autumn Term excluding coursebook. £80 for Senior Citizens. This is the first term of a 30-week course for which the total fee is £300/£240 for Senior Citizens. Fee sheet available on request.
