
Life is a cabaret old chum, come to the cabaret! Put down your knitting, your cat and your broom boys and girls, organisers of Liverpool Pride announce a fabulous line up of stars to play the Cabaret Stage at Liverpoolās first ever Pride festival.
The festival takes place in and around Liverpoolās Dale St area on Saturday 7th August.
The Cabaret Stage at Liverpool Pride has been organised in association with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and Telent Communications.
Revellers can expect an extravaganza of drag, dance and drama as a bevy of glittering performers take to the stage.
Donāt miss out on a ālittle bit of actionā as international burlesque star Mille Dollar and her Blue Martini burlesque show will take to the stage in a scintillating performance that will tease and titillate even the most up standing members of society.
The Cabaret Stage will also play host to Queer as Talent runner up, dancer Ian Roughley, who will perform one of his dazzling routines, local poet Gerry Potter and performances from local drag legends Lavinia, Belinda Scandal and Lady Sian with her unique rendition of a Lady GaGa smash hit.
The UKās first Drag King Valentino King also gets in on the action with a completely live performance.
Fans of the classics are in for a treat as Liverpoolās favourite crooner Alan Cross, performs songs including Patricia the Stripper, Mac the Knife and Americano.
Talented tenor and co-owner of Parr St Studios Steve MacFarlane will perform a 20 minute set inspired by idols Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra & Tony Bennett and favourite songwriters including George Gershwin & Irvin Berlin.
A raft of show stopping numbers by local girl and West End star Emma Dears, channelling the one and only Miss Liza with a Z, is guaranteed to entertain as she previews her brand new musical production āJudy and Liza,ā performing some of Liza Minnelliās biggest hits including āCabaretā and āMaybe This Time.ā

āIām delighted to be involved with Liverpoolās first Pride! Iāve performed at London Pride when I was in the West End and think itās about time that Liverpool had a Pride of its own.
"Iām especially excited to perform my Liza, a snapshot of the show we are producing later this year about the lives of Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli.ā
Blurring the gender lines are The Beatelles, an all girl band who will perform a half hour tribute to Liverpoolās most famous sons The Beatles make sure youāre there to sing along to all of your favourite hits.
Continuing the music is London based duo Detox Cute and the Beauty Junkies who are sure to camp it up with their pop tunes including āHello Kittyā, āHold Meā and āPop Trashā
Liverpool City Councilās Cabinet member for community safety, Councillor Ann OāByrne, said:
āLiverpool has a proud history of celebrating culture in a big way, and Liverpool Pride is a welcome addition to our roll call of high profile annual events.
"We have made tremendous strides in recent years in making the city a safer place for everyone, with crime in the city centre down 40 percent and at a 10 year low.
"It means people coming to the event can relax in the knowledge they will have a safe and enjoyable time.ā
All three stages for Liverpoolās first ever LGB&T festival now have exciting line ups of artists, all of whom are raring to go and perform for your entertainment.
