David O’Doherty hits the Big Time in Liverpool

David O’Doherty is preparing to blow away the January blues in Liverpool later this month.

The award-winning Irish comedian will bring his brand new show Big Time to the city’s Epstein Theatre for two nights on January 24 and February 21.

A familiar face and voice on ‘8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’ and BBC Radio 4’s The Unbelievable Truth, David has proved himself a man of many talents.

His latest book for children, Danger Is Everywhere, selected for the UNESCO Dublin, City of Literature Citywide Reading Campaign and published in 10 languages around the world.

David’s stand-up has won many international awards including the if.comedy award at The Edinburgh Fringe in 2008 and Best International Comedian at the 2014 Sydney Comedy Festival.

Last year he was nominated for the best show awards at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and spent the summer on tour around America with Flight of the Conchords.

Theatre manager, Rebekah Pichilingi, said: “David O’ Doherty’s unique style of comedy is just the tonic we need to cheer us up during a dreary January.

“And he’s so good we’ve booked him twice – so if you can’t make it in January you’ve got the chance to see him again in February!”
