Skint and Demoralised release Summer tune 'Red Lipstick,' and gets more airplay than Lady GaGa's 'Paparazzi' on Radio 1 this week.

Edith Bowman and Jo Whiley have been raving about the new indie single and Jo made it her pet sound.

Skint and Demoralised are a Wakefield based poet and producer duet who make indie/soul beats and social commentary style poetry.

Matt Abbott began in spoken word performance poetry aged 17, and attracted the attention of the mysterious Sheffield songwriter/producer MiNI dOG.

The partnership produced a catalogue of songs during the summer of 2007, and a year later they recorded their debut album in New York, with the Dap-Kings, famed for their work on albums with Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson.

'Red Lipstick' is released on 13th July.

The album 'Love and Other Catastrophes' is due out on October 5th.
