Clocked got the chance to catch up with two of Liverpool's hottest emerging musical talents KOF and Sound Of Guns after their performances on the BBC introducing stage at Glastonbury.
KOF
How would you describe your first Glastonbury experience?
It was crazy! Never seen so many people in one place listening to so many different types of music. I love the fact that the people I performed in front of weren't really my audience, but the fact that I was on the BBC Introducing Stage meant that it was all about showcasing my talent and drawing in as many people as possible.
What was the best part?
The best part was taking the tent from zero capacity to full capacity as I progressed through my set and it is one of the best gigs I've ever played.
Did you see anything crazy?
Loads of stuff. But its mad - I've never seen so much mud and the craziest thing was probably my Nikes after walking around in the mud.
Why is Glastonbury special?
It is special because you got so many different types of music and so many different types of people all coming together at the same time for one common passion. Plus everyone is having a great time.
SOUND OF GUNS
How would you describe your Glastonbury experience?
Amazing, the place never stops partying, everyone's having such a good time. It was the first time we played the festival so we wanted to make an impact, we did four gigs in total.
What was the best part?
Playing to a full house on the Dirty Boots stage, we nailed it and the place went nuts.
Did you see anything crazy?
Nothing is normal at Glasto, so many sights but off the top of my head a 6 1/2ft oompa loompa nearly killed me off.
Why is Glastonbury special a special gig?
Its the festival of all festivals, everybody's mood is so happy its impossible not to feel the vibe. That vibe follows through when watching bands and the crowd are a lot more responsive.
What now? What comes next?
Were playing the main stage at Latitude Festival in a couple of weeks and we've just been told Thom York will be doing an acoustic set before us. Thom Yorke is supporting Sound Of Guns, you heard it here first. In the long run more festivals, touring and releasing a new single after summer.
