Bonkers star Dizzee Rascal has revealed that he snubbed offers to work with The Ting Tings and Franz Ferdinand to focus on his own sound.
Despite scoring chart-topping dance anthems with his Calvin Harris hook-up Dance Wiv Me and current number one featuring Armand Van Helden - the rapper has had enough of sharing success.
His new album is due out in September and the London MC is promising something special which his fans won't expect.
Dizzee said: "There were opportunities to work with The Ting Tings and Franz but I decided not to go with them.
"The album is a total club record and it's not what people are going to expect.
"Some people make a couple of songs and then the rest of the album is filler.
"I won't allow my album to be like that at all – each track is something special.
"I've done one called Holiday, which I’m really excited about but no, it doesn't sample Madonna."
Stepping away from his grime roots and embracing an all round style has turned the Mercury Prize winner into a household name and mammoth pop star.
But Diz also said that the getting out there and playing his music to the masses at festivals, especially his headline set at Creamfields is what most excites him.
He added: "The festivals are what I'm most looking forward to this year – especially going out there and hyping up the crowd at Creamfields.
"The new songs and beats are ideal for the festivals."
