Hollywood arrived in Liverpool last night in the shape of Juliette Lewis and her new band.
When I say 'arrived' I mean 'Exploded'. Whether she is acting or singing, Ms Lewis is a natural born star on every level.
Gone are the 'Licks' and in come The New Romantiques. They were a controlled sex machine waiting to excite and tease their new musical partner.
The sexbomb responded with an energetic and sexy performance and displayed her full vocal range to the lucky few in attendance.
She has appeared in Martin Scorcese and Oliver Stone films, yet here in a small part of Liverpool, she played the part of her life.
'Sticky Honey' and 'Hot Kiss' were, quite frankly, amazing. Her new band is so tight and at one point I was concentrating so much on their beautiful bass player (she was a GIRL) that I forgot Juliette was even there.
That five second hiatus from this global superstar only gave way to giving Brad Pitts 'Ex' more of my undivided attention.
She slithered and slinked her way though the 90 minute set like a devil woman possessed. Showing the energy of a woman half of her 35 years.
"I get asked all the time if I am 'performing' when I'm on stage or if it's the real me," Lewis once said.
"And the only way I can answer is by saying that I feel 100 per cent who I am on stage, and that's this primal little fireball that gets unleashed through music and through doing a live show."
This Romeo has been well and truly licked.
