The Charlatans debut album Some Friendly was released back in 1990. To mark the 20th anniversary of their debut album the band played some highly successful, retrospective, Some Friendly live dates earlier this month.

Following the success of these dates The Charlatans have now announced details of an extensive UK tour.

Having secured their place as an adored indie band The Charlatans will be returning to Liverpool, when they play the O2 Academy on 11th October.

Happy Mondays hell-raiser Shaun Ryder is a special guest on the tour and will be opening all shows.

The Charlatans are currently putting the finishing touches to their new album Who We Touch, which is due for release on September 6th.

The album will be preceded by the release of the single ‘Love Is Ending’ on July 19th.

Tickets go on sale on Friday June 4th at 9.30am
