Writing on the Wall are delighted to present a monster of a night at the city’s best music venue The Picket.

The night plays host to Levi Tafari - Liverpool’s favourite lyrical observer and urban griot.

Influential Ska band The Beat also make an appearance. Forming in the late 1970's The Beat produced hits such as Mirror in the Bathroom, Can't Get Used to Losing You, Hands Off She's Mine, amongst others.

The band toured the world with such artists as David Bowie, The Police, REM, The Clash, The Talking Heads, The Pretenders, and The Specials, to name but a few.

More recently The Beat's Mirror In The Bathroom was used in the soundtrack to Guy Ritchie's 2008 film Rock N Rolla.

Original band member Roger Rankin and Everett Morton are joined by Roger’s son Murphy Ranking Jr, and Mickey Billingham, formerly of Dexy’s Midnight Runners.

Also joining the line-up is Don Letts - Big Audio Dynamite, BBC 6 Radio. The original Rebel Dread takes to the decks for a rare Liverpool performance.
