Kush and The Talkabouts live at the Novas centre this April

Two of Liverpool’s finest bands will be performing live on 16th April at the Novas centre.

The Novas centre will play host to rock ‘n’ roll band, The Talkabouts and Liverpool rock power trio Kush.

The Talkabouts are an inspiring roller-coaster of instantly memorable rock and roll driven songs from the pen of dynamic and completely unique front man Paul Holden.

Tracks like Butterflies are old crowd favourites but other potential classics include Playing With Fire and Lay it on the Line.

They have supported bands like the Pretenders, Shack and The Bluetones and regularly fill their own shows at venues across their home city of Liverpool.


In the last eighteen months this Kush have been making a name as a guitar band with big ideas.

They’ve set local rock venues alight with searing Hendrix inspired lead guitar, guttural blues riffs and highly original vocal raps.

Front man Kirkland has been described as "The Mohammad Ali of Guitar" by music press.

Kush have also performed at the Echo Arena in front of a sell-out crowd as house band for some of Liverpool’s most legendary artists and performers as diverse as Gerry Marsden , The Merseybeats to the Christians, the Kittens and The Farm.

The have also forged an unlikely mutual appreciation society with boxing legends and big guitar and music lovers Joe and Enzo Calzaghe.

Both bands will be performing live at the Novas centre, off Jamaica Street on Friday 16th April 2010.

Doors open at 7pm.
