Liverpool boys Sound of Guns are set to take over the airwaves again with the release their new single Alcatraz.

Having had their debut EP Elementary of Youth given the seal of approval by Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe as the ‘hottest record in the world’ - the new single will be one to watch.

The single is the first release from the band's forthcoming debut album, which will be available later this year.

Alcatraz is the sound of fully-fledged rockers blasting their way through power chords, yet managing to combine this with quirky lyrics.

Sound Of Guns seem to have developed an uncanny talent for producing anthemic songs that become ingrained in your memory after only a few listens.

With Alcatraz and b-side Knots boasting long-lasting potential, prepare to start citing Sound of Guns as your favourite new band.
