Liverpool band The Christians are to play at a charity dinner at The Stables pub and eatery in Garston.
Garry Christian and two band mates will play an acoustic set at the event on Wednesday 14 October, to help raise funds for Liverpool’s Safe Place Appeal and ChildLine.
The ‘Come feast with us’ night includes a three course dinner with champagne, a raffle and auction hosted by legendary It’s a Knockout star Stuart Hall.
Director of the Stables Johnny Santer said: “We are absolutely delighted that the brilliant Garry Christian is coming to The Stables to support our fundraising. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy fabulous live music in a fairly intimate setting.”
The event starts at 7pm and finishes at 11pm. More information is available at: www.thestablesgarston.com <http://www.thestablesgarston.com> or by emailing: jds@aboutfifty.co.uk.
All monies collected will go to the NSPCC’s Safe Place Appeal – a campaign which raised the funds needed to build the Hargreaves Centre in Great Homer Street Everton.
The appeal is ongoing as it aims to fund running costs for the next decade.
The centre houses a team to help children, young people and their families overcome domestic violence; a families and substance support team, who work with pregnant substance users and women with young children; and Liverpool’s first ChildLine base where volunteer counsellors help and comfort children and young people in distress and danger, calling from the Liverpool area and beyond.
Tickets are £20 and can be booked by calling 0151 427 6026.
