Thousands of youngsters gathered outside Liverpool's Echo Arena in the weekend's sunshine, eagerly waiting for the doors to open for the 4th annual Radio City Live concert.
Stars such as Will Young, Rizzle Kicks, Labrinth and X factor third place finalists One Direction were taking to the stage for the sell-out gig that had girls screaming everytime somebody mentioned the band's name.
Hosted by breakfast show host Simon Ross (Rossie) the 10,000 strong audience were all geared up as Rossie introduced the first act Alexander Burke. Blasting out some of her well known hits, Ms Burke praised the Liverpool crowd for how "amazing" they were before ending her session with her famous tune 'Bad Boys.
Sponsored by Knowsley Community College, stars such as girl band Stooshe, Alyssa Reid, Will Young and X Factor Winners Little Mix entertained the buzzing audience.
English singer-songwriter and record producer Labrinth, ended the first half with his famous hits Express Yourself, Let the Sunshine and Earthquake.
The vibe during the interval was ecstatic as Radio City 96.7 host Rossie told the crowd not to be late coming back as "the first act are amazing and that's what makes them beautiful..." he teased the hysterical crowd ahead of heart-throb boy band One Direction's appearance. The thousands of screaming girls went mad with almost deafening screams when British-Irish boy band members Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson aka One Direction took to the stage.
Waving glow sticks and banners the sell-out arena were on their feet as the group belted out their famous hits One Thing, Up All Night, and That's What Makes You Beautiful.
Followed by the brilliant Professor Green, the Liverpool music lovers were informed by the Pro that Liverpool was his favourite crowd and he wished he could do a full show before ending his slot with his well known number Read All About It.
X Factor judge Tulisa appeared next with her new blonde hair style and informed the audience that she had been staying in Liverpool for the last five days doing the X Factor boot camp and how much she had enjoyed being in our City.
With the night nearly at a close and two acts remaining the crowd were on a high again as English hip hop duo Rizzle Kicks performed their tunes When I was A Youngster, Mama Do The Hump.
The final act to take to the stage of the 4th Radio City Live event was the successful UK star Taio Cruz.
