From Ellesmere Port to Buckingham Palace! Local singer Elsie has bagged a much coveted spot at the concert for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.
Elsie will be performing alongside legends such as: Tom Jones, Annie Lennox, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney and many others. The list goes on, but Elsie has well and truly earned her place alongside such esteemed company.
As feisty as she is talented Elsie is not just a pretty face, but a serious artist concerned with making great pop tunes.
Elsie’s latest release London Town: How To Get Famous is a sassy swipe at celebrity culture; its accompanying video is an innovative idea, where the viewer can guide Elsie to become a celebrity diva through bum implants, sex tapes and making her own reality TV show.
Before heading to London Elsie will play a homecoming gig at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall on 2nd June supporting local legend Ian Prowse.
Speaking to Click Liverpool Elsie told us:
"Playing Ellesmere Port Civic Hall then Buckingham Palace in the space of two days is pretty much the most nerve wracking pair of gigs in my life.
"One is in front of all my friends and family and the other is in front of The Queen, all her friends and family and the rest of the world!
"Playing the Civic Hall is a big deal to me; I used to go there as a kid to watch my mum perform with her amateur dramatics group and dream of being up there myself"
"I've been singing for Tom Jones for two years now and we've played some ridiculous places all over the world but I've never played at The Queen's house before! I'll have to start practising my curtsy just incase The Queen comes back stage to wish us good luck!"
