A Wigan based quartet called The Suzukis are creating a mighty storm that taps into raw, primal aggression and marks them out as one of the most exciting new bands to reignite people’s faith in rock and roll.
It’s been a long time coming, but Delta Sonic’s ‘The Suzukis’ may just be the first new British group for a long time that the disaffected youth can embrace.
A band that matches the sullen boredom and nihilistic pent-up anger of battered, small-town Britain, with a fistful of big anthems.
To witness The Suzukis’ front man Chris Veasey’s spat-out vocal delivery and staring-into-the-void stance, is to realise that for some people, being in a band is simply more than a career choice. Some people are born to do nothing else.
"Song after song falls out of the speakers like a souped up Sex Pistols
with a dash of early Verve reverb and Oasis swagger." -John Robb
Supporting will be the ever illusive Dirty Rivers. After a string of temperamental drummers and half-arsed bass players, they finally got their rhythm together and are now more committed to making great music than ever before.
Reincarnated with a rip-roaring sound and one almighty stage show, label mates of The Suzukis are not to be missed!
Firm favourites of The Masque, The Temps, join the bill. This band needs no introduction.
With support slots on such shows as The Fall and A Flock Of Seagulls already under their belt, these post-punkers haven’t got far to go until they are cemented in Liverpool music history.
As a special treat we have The Vigilantes opening the show. The young rock-grunge 3 piece haven’t been together long but have already gained a solid fan base. Come down early and judge for yourself!
The Suzukis have got that punk rock, almost rabid, power and you can see them at The Masque, on 2nd July for just £4 - if you get your tickets in advance!
