The festival, running from the 11th-13th of February boasts over 200 live acts from the worlds of music, dance, theatre, art photography and much more in one of Liverpool’s most exciting venues- the Contemporary Urban Centre.

Threshold came about through a collaboration with well- known promoters Under the Influence and the CUC. Under the Influence have been running events which celebrate Liverpool artists for the last few years, and now, teaming up with the CUC has given them a chance to showcase this talent in their largest venue yet.

Some of the big names in Liverpool taking part include the Beaten Tracks DJs, Culturepool, Mellowtone, Pillbox Vintage, Art in Liverpool and many more. There will be under 18 access until 9pm with performances for and by young people, and student volunteers from Liverpool colleges and higher education institutions

Situated in Greenland Street, the building will be packed with bands, dancers, exhibitions, flashmobs, games, a vintage fair, and food and drink for all who chose to get involved.

This year should see the CUC hosting more and more events, with a dance festival scheduled to take place in March, and Look 11 photography festival in May.

Advance tickets cost £5 per day, or a £10 ticket for the full three day festival. They are available online at www.contemporaryurbancentre.org or via the CUC box office 0151 708 3529.
