
Radio City has flagged-up audience figures that show it continues to braodcast the most listened-to stable of stations in the Liverpool City Region.
The stations that wwere acquired by Bauer Radio last year has seen "significant increases in reach, hours and market share".
A spokesman for the Radio City said its top line shows and presenters - Simon Ross, Rick Vaughn, Neil Fitzmaurice and Pete Price - have increased their audience figures considerably in comparison to results this time last year.
The latest official audience research from RAJAR shows that the Bauer Liverpool stations’, Radio City 96.7, City Talk 105.9 and Magic 1548, combined audience figures are up 20% so far this year.
The three stations reach 518,000 listeners a week who spend 5.2 million hours every week hours tuning in - cementing Bauer Liverpool as the most popular radio network in the North West with Radio City positioning itself as the most popular radio station from Liverpool.
Radio City’s Breakfast Show with Rossie and Co continues its reign as the North West’s favourite commercial breakfast show with a continuous increase in reach and market share quarter on quarter and year on year.
As many as 270,000 people wake-up to the show every week (63,000 new listeners compared to 12 months ago) and listen for 47% longer than before.
At the other end of the day, Radio City’s late night talk show presented by Pete Price also saw an incredible 84% increase in time spent listening over the past year.
Radio City 96.7 continues to dominate its local competitors on all fronts with the station’s audience topping Juice FM by 277,000, Heart by 268,000 and Smooth FM by 186,000.
